The 2018 Sierra Leone Integrated Household Survey (SLIHS) is underway, implemented by Mr Abubakarr Turay and his team at Economic Statistics Division.
The general aim of SLIHS is to provide statistics on the living conditions of the people of Sierra Leone and to provide inputs to the government of Sierra Leone's policy making process. The study will use consumption as the starting measure for household well-being and will follow the standard in poverty analysis for low-income countries. The SLIHS is a joint work by Statistics Sierra Leone and the World Bank Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Unit. Stats SL has the major responsibility of conducting the survey.
