Alimatu Fofanah is the Senior News Editor at Sierra Leone News Agency (SLENA) with over ten (10) years of journalistic experience. She has served as Head of Media and Public Relations in the Office of the Vice President. She is an experienced journalist with a demonstrated history of working with various national media houses including the Exclusive Newspaper as Senior Reporter, Intern, at the Public Relations Department of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), Kalleone Newspaper, Concord Times and Radio Mount Aureole. Ms Fofana is presently, the Head of Media and Public Relation Section at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and also the SLENA Correspondent at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
Alimatu has a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Management from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone and a Bachelor of Arts degree (with Honours) in Mass Communications from Fourah Bah College, University of Sierra Leone.
