Jimmy G. Lamboi is the Site Leader of the Comprehensive Health and Epidemiological Surveillance System (CHESS) project, Statistics Sierra Leone.
Before his appointment as CHESS Site Leader, Mr. Lamboi has had over 30 years work experience in local non-governmental organizations, international development organizations and institutions (the Planned Parenthood Association of Sierra Leone – delivering sexual and reproduction health services; PLAN International – an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights and equality for girls; the Ialamic Development Bank – a multilateral development bank working to improve the lives of people by providing social and economic development of member countries)
Had gained ample knowledge and proven skills as both leader and team player; the ability to motivate others to set targets and meet tight deadlines; a proven experience of organizing people and organizations. Had demonstrated committed approach to work evidence of responsibility and accountability, together with persistence to achieving quality impactful results; proven experience in structuring and organizing work, resources and people effectively in order to meet objectives within agreed time scales.
Mr. Lamboi pursued his career studies at the Njala University (now Njala University) graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, a postgraduate diploma in Population Studies at the University of Ghana (Legon), and a Masters in Population Research at the University of Exeter, UK. A social scientist with experience in research methods.
