Hassan Sankoh is a Principal Statistician and Head of Social Statistics Section in the Demographic, Health, and Social Statistics Division, Statistics Sierra Leone (Stats SL).
Prior to gaining employment at Stats SL, Hassan worked as a partime lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone. Whilst he worked there, Hassan served as course coordinator for the department of Sociology and was also involved in reserch activities. He is the founder and CEO of Community Health Network (CHNet) organization. Hassan also taught at the Sierra Leone Muslim Brotherhood Secondary School, Freetown where he rose to the rank of senior teacher.
Hassan holds a Maters' Degree in Public Policy from Peking University, Beijing China, MPhil in Sociology, from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, Bachelor's degree with Honours in Sociology, Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone and Diploma in International Relations from Milton Margai College of Education Science and Technology, Freetown.
Hassan has wealth of experience in data collection and he was one of the Field Officers for the 2015 Population and Housing Census. He has also worked as Ward Coordinator for the National Electoral Commission (NEC), in the 2012 General Election.
