Dr. Enoch Terlumun Iortyom is an Associate Professor of Geography. He earned Ph.D. in Geography at University of Fort Hare, South Africa. MSc and a BSc (Hons) in Geography at Benue State University, Makurdi, North Central Nigeria-West Africa.
Dr. Iortyom is hardworking with commendable ability to multi-task effectively. He is an erudite scholar with seasoned experience in lecturing, supervision, and research. He is a Curriculum Review Expert, an External Examiner for MSc Dissertations and PhD Thesis. Being passionate about, and having deep-seated interest in research has enabled him to publish in peer-review journals of high repute. He has also presented some of his research findings at International Conferences. He is an Adjunct Research Scientist and Project Consultant with Polo Centre of Sustainability, Imperia, Italy.
He has experience of facilitating World Bank assisted projects in select communities with proven ability to review, design, and develop Local Development Plan [LDP] and also capacity building, and in-depth planning and forecasting. Thus, the maximum ability to liaise between program objectives and implementation.
He is a Fellow of the Environment and Safety Management Institute, Nigeria (ESMI), Member and Vice-Chairman, Applied Geography Specialty Group of the American Association of Geographers (AAG), Member of EUROGEO, Member Canadian Association of Geographers (CAG) and an Academic Member of the Water Institute of Southern Africa (WISA).
Member, National Curriculum Development Framework Committee for Tertiary Education Institutions (TEIs), Sierra Leone.

Before joining Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology (EBKUST), Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Enoch served as an Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Liberia, Monrovia. He also lectured and served in various capacities with different organizations. These include, University of Fort Hare, South Africa; Benue State University, Makurdi, North Central Nigeria-West Africa; the World Bank Assisted Third National Fadama Development Project, Benue State, Nigeria; Gender and Environmental Risk Initiative (GERI), Makurdi-Nigeria and other establishments of the Federal and State Governments of Nigeria.
