Albert Kenneth Bangura-Will is a Director of Operations at Statistics Sierra Leone with over 15 years’ working experience in multi-discipline career and professional domains. He has a wide range of working experience spanning from the banking sector with Rokel Commercial Bank, social security with the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) to telecommunications with Celtel and SIERRATEL, prior to taking up appointment with Statistics Sierra Leone as Director of Operations. He has also worked in several projects, with the first “Business Bomba” competition in Sierra Leone, funded by George Soros Foundation, where he worked as Project Manager/Business Advisor, with the African Foundation for Development (AFFORD), a key highlight. As Director of Marketing and Business Development of SIERRATEL, Albert Bangura-Will spearheaded the successful launch of Sierra Leone’s first 4G LTE network as well as the commercial rollout of the advanced and modernized fixed/Landline data and voice services. In all of his engagements, he is a firm believer of team work in working collaboratively for achieving milestones and delivering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
He is vividly known as an individual who gleefully relishes taking up new challenges and making impact in complex working environments. His over 15 years working experience cuts across several sectors, namely; Information Communications & Technology (ICT), Surveys & Research, Field Operations, SME & business sectors, projects & programme management, cross-cutting issues, machinery & electronics industry, agribusiness development, brand building, strategic planning, and working in both the public and private sectors in Sierra Leone.
Academically and professionally, he holds a Master of Philosophy in Economics (M. Phil.Econ), a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics (M.Sc.AEC) and a Special Executive Master in Business Administration (SEMP- MBA). He is also a holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics Education, with Double Majors in Economics (B.Sc.Econ/Ed).
